Zduy Peter Chu

​Zduy Peter Chu attained his bachelor’s in marketing management and his master’s in higher education and leadership from the University of Arkansas in 2004 and 2006 respectively.  While at the University of Arkansas, Zduy was able to gain experience in a number of different areas including University Housing, Greek Life, First Year Experience/Orientation, Student Activities, Business & Finance, and Admissions.  


In 2006, Zduy took a position with the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was able to expand and diversity his understanding of people, organizations, and structures.  Throughout his time at UCSB, Zduy’s leadership and experience expanded to include project management, faculty initiatives, low/high ropes team building, strategic planning, assessment, diversity training, organizational restructuring, and motivational speaking.  Zduy was also fortunate to be hired on as a staff member for the Summer 2010 Voyage of Semester at Sea, a study abroad experience hosted by the University of Virginia and the Institute for Shipboard Education.  During this time, he served as an advisor on leadership for the voyage and helped students and staffs navigate their understanding of global issues and experiences.  The voyage traveled to Nova Scotia, Canada; Barcelona, Spain; Civitavecchia, Italy; Naples, Italy; Athens, Greece; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Istanbul, Turkey; Alexandria, Egypt; and Casablanca, Morocco.  


In 2011, Zduy moved to Atlanta, GA where he currently serves as the Coordinator of Living Learning Communities & Academic Initiatives at Georgia State University.  In this position, Zduy’s main goal is to assess, plan, and implement programs and initiatives that meet the changing needs of the student population at Georgia State.   He is responsible for First Year Experience, Learning Centers, Tutoring, Living Learning Communities, and bridging the gap between Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. Zduy is also a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).  


Zduy’s passions for helping others reach their potential stems from his experience in working with individuals and groups throughout his career.  He is able to provide you with an in-depth look at the necessary skills and actions that can result in your desired outcome.
